Design Engineer

Major Duties & Responsibilities: -Will be responsible for creating and maintaining engineering drawings and designs from concept through fabrication and assembly. -Will interface with engineering team and fabrication personnel on a daily basis -Ability to read and understand parts diagrams, blueprints, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions. -Ability to understand and apply technical information to make good decisions to benefit manufacturing/production needs. -Recent experience with sheet metal design (preferred). -Apply engineering principles to design, modify and develop facilities, testing, machines, and equipment used in processing and manufacturing products. -Support process projects and implementation of new equipment at client sites. -Analyze engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design. -Provide technical information concerning manufacturing and processing techniques, materials, properties and limitations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Education: -B.S.M.E or equivalent degree in an associated field Work Experience: -At least 5+ years of practical experience designing and re-designing automated machinery and systems. Must Haves: -Extensive experience using Solidworks -Ability to create designs from white paper sketches -Prior experience working with sheet metal Like to Have: -AutoCAD Electrical (not required for this role) -Mechanical Engineering Degree -Prior experience supporting pharmaceutical companies or FDA/GMP environments
