Located in Faribault, MN, this is a part – time, rotating shift position with some weekend and holiday shifts. The hours of work are generally 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Days of work and hours may vary depending on site needs.

The Licensed Practical Nurse's (LPN) primary responsibilities are to provide respectful, comprehensive, and person-centered direct care services to individuals in the residential homes provided by Minnesota State Operated Community Services (MSOCS).

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:

  • Takes temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure readings.
  • Administers and records prescribed medication.
  • Keeps clinical charts and reports on the physical and emotional state of clients.
  • Promotes and participates in rehabilitation activities.
  • Maintains a clean and hazard-free environment.
  • Promotes clients' personal hygiene.
  • May regulate parenteral fluids and administer intramuscular injection.
  • Administers emergency first aid.
  • Orders supplies and equipment.
  • Operate a motor vehicle and possess a current, valid driver's license

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved school of nursing
  • Current licensure in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse
  • Must have a valid driver's license
