Position Summary:
  • This position involves specialized clinical tasks in diagnostic breast sonography/imaging. The ideal candidate should be ARMDS registered in Breast Ultrasound.
  • SCHEDULE: 40-hour position with 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
  • Education: Understanding of ultrasound equipment, procedures, techniques, anatomy, and physiology from completing an accredited ultrasound program.
  • License/Certifications: ARDMS certification in specialties like Abdomen, OB/GYN; BLS certified.
  • Experience: Proficiency in Ultrasound imaging gained through clinical training in an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Preferably, 1 year experience as a sonographer in a hospital setting. Experience in a large academic/tertiary hospital is a bonus.
  • Proficiencies: Ability to analyze and determine the best method for imaging based on the patient's condition and pathology. Strong interpersonal skills to explain procedures to patients, collaborate effectively with radiologists, and adapt to various work environments and equipment changes.

Compliance with the following:
Ultrasound ergonomics and high-level disinfection policy.
