**Description**

**ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER-IN-TRAINING**Works with the Store Manager to learn the role of the Store Manager. Key functions to learn are 1) what is involved in the daily operations of a Star store; 2) how to create and maintain a positive environment, focusing on the well-being of all associates, as well as, all guests; and 3) understanding how to manage the operational requirement of the position. The goal is to become fully competent in all areas of store management in a six-month period.

**Essential Functions:**

Achieving sales goals

Provides the leadership necessary to create and maintain a store environment that is positive and growth oriented.

Ensures the customers experience exemplifies IT

Maintains the visual presentation standards for the store, to include the merchandise. presentation and the condition of the building.

Executes and maintains a disciplined prospecting program.

Responsible for all Guest Service operational processes.

Spends at least 50% of scheduled time on the sales floor.

**Additional responsibilities**:

Ensures protocols for sales promotions, invoicing and delivering product are followed.

Responsible for execution of daily sales meeting.

Review and approve sales reservations.

Ensure completion of monthly associate one on one meeting.

Maintain staffing levels per HR guidelines in all areas of store.

Ensure all sales associates are compliant to the Star Sales Process.

**Supervisory Responsibility****:**Assists in the supervision of the sales teams, and support staff employees.

**Work Environment****:**This position operates in a retail showroom environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, tablets, and other office equipment**.****Physical Demands****:**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may stand and/or walk up to or more in an 8/10-hour workday.

**Position Type / Expected Hours of Work****:**This is a management level position and hours of work would routinely be 40+ hours per week. Given the nature of the position, there may be occasions when extra hours may be required. Works all high impact events.
