Our staff is well-trained and highly skilled qualities that are vital to maintaining excellence in care and service.Dignity Health Advance Imaging, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, provides cutting-edge diagnostic imaging services at 16 locations in the greater Sacramento and Woodland areas.
Our team of 160 staff members work with our specialty trained and board certified radiologists to provide high quality care to our patients.
The locations perform more than exams annually with the goal of providing top quality imaging compassionate care and timely service with a smile.
Responsibilities This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus and/or relocation assistance.Position Summary:
The Medical Physicist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy to patients
These duties include:
Radiological Physics and Dosimetry:
Provide accurate delivery of planned radiation therapy treatment Develop and maintain quality control policies for equipment Participate in quality assurance and utilization review programs Ensure compliance with radiation licensing and accreditation requirements
Radiation Safety:
Apply radiation protection principles to ensure safety for everyone Provide radiation safety support to the department and patients
Patient Care:
Provide patient education Work closely with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality patient care Provide dose distributions and diagrams of treatment plans Teaching and Collaboration: Provide education to staff as needed Collaborate with physicians, administration, and staffThey may also be required to work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree Two (2) years as a Medical Radiation PhysicistBoard Certified ABR/ABMP in Radiation Therapy Physics/Eligible for ABR or ABMPFamiliarity with ARIA
- Record & Verify (R&V).
Four (4) years as Medical Radiation Physicist preferred Experience in Varian linear accelerators is strongly preferred Experience with treatment planning in external and High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy preferred#LI-DH #DHMFImaging
