Job Overview

A Warranty Clerk is responsible for ensuring that the dealership receives compensation for all product maintenance parts or replacements covered by a warranty. They manage, process, and assess warranty claims submitted by customers.

Specific Job-Related Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Arrange warranty claims for all repair order conditions eligible for coverage
  • Organize warranty details for all defective parts purchased by customers
  • Maintain a log of all parts returned for warranty purposes. Preserve records of all documentation as evidence of shipments.
  • Create and store duplicates of all claims, credits, debits, etc., associated with each warranty.
  • Address warranty inquiries from the service, parts, and sales divisions.
  • Uphold standards of value, quality, and honesty
General Company-Related Tasks and Duties
  • Be punctual according to company schedules and standards.
  • Demonstrate a suitable level of professionalism towards customers and colleagues.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED as a minimum requirement.
  • Preferably at least 1 year of experience in the Parts or Service Department
  • Prior Ford Warranty Experience
  • Basic proficiency in computer & phone operations (Internet, MS Outlook)
  • Excellent Interpersonal and customer service capabilities
  • Ability to comprehend deadlines and act with the necessary promptness in all assignments.
  • Present a professional demeanor and work ethic
  • Self-driven, target-focused, and adept at functioning in a fast-paced setting
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
