The Clerk III position, based in the state hospital systems business operations office, involves providing cashier, administrative, and financial support services with a focus on specialized care for Texans.

Key responsibilities include performing advanced clerical and financial tasks, handling facility documents and mail, and maintaining accurate financial files related to patient billing across the state.

Additionally, the Clerk III will coordinate clerical activities, handle office supplies, and provide clear communication both verbally and in writing while offering training to fellow employees as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Attend work regularly and adhere to assigned shift schedules
  • Receive, sort, and distribute cash and documentation in the cashier's office
  • Maintain deposit and cash disbursement records for hospital patients
  • Update cashier database with cash transaction information and generate daily reports
  • Prepare daily receipts and bank deposits
  • Provide training to new employees and support disaster response efforts

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • Proficiency in clerical and financial procedures
  • Skilled in using Microsoft applications like Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain records, communicate effectively, and train others
