Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Ocean Bungalow Host to join our team These individuals are the main contact for guests at our Ocean Bungalows and responsible for our customers experiences. Responsibilities include greeting and attending to immediate needs of guests upon arrival and follow through attention throughout stay. Provides information to all Ocean Bungalow inquiries and coordinates all guest requests for special arrangements or services, courteously and efficiently according to the hotels standards, always maintaining confidentiality.

Your role:

• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
• Obtain department keys and ensure security of such.
• Review business status and follow up actions from prior day.
• Access all functions of computer system in accordance with departmental specifications.
• Set up workstation with necessary supplies; maintain cleanliness throughout shift.
• Legibly complete requisition for additional supplies/materials and submit to Aloha Manager.
• Maintain updated resource materials on all vendors and information to accommodate guest requests.
• Review designated in-house guest list and be familiar with guests' names and Ocean Bungalow locations.
• Answer department telephone within 3 rings, using correct salutations and telephone etiquette.
• Accommodate all guest requests expediently and courteously. Follow up with designated hotel personnel to ensure completion of request.
• Place orders for amenities and coordinate delivery of amenities to designated guest Ocean Bungalow.
• Legibly complete confirmation cards and deliver to guest upon completion of each arrangement coordinated for guest.
• Relay accurate directions to guests' desired destination within local area and distribute maps with highlighted routes.
• Take, record and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly.
• Inspect Ocean Bungalows prior to arrival and communicate deficiencies to departments concerned.
• Deliver and set up Ocean Bungalow amenities as required.
• Confirm Ocean Bungalow reservation in system and review all noted information.
• Advise Ocean Bungalow guest of any messages, mail, faxes, etc. received for them.
• Inform Ocean Bungalow guest room safe and room key procedures.
• Communicate Ocean Bungalow offerings and amenities of the hotel to guests.
• Solicit Ocean Bungalow guest comments on their stay.
• Handle Ocean Bungalow requests for late check-outs.
• Serve our guests.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Detailed knowledge of the resort and the local area
• A strong desire to make an impact on other people
• An outgoing and engaging personality
• Computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
• Must be available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
