Job Summary

The Machining Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the internal production team. This position involves meeting internal production KPIs through standard work procedures and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include assigning work to machines, setting priorities, and managing personnel.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and inspire team members to enhance efficiency, proficiency, and collaboration, fostering positive morale.
  • Analyze and address potential scheduling issues, implementing procedures to minimize downtime.
  • Review operational schedules, coordinate production activities, and assign tasks to team members.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve machine or process-related issues.
  • Ensure adherence to standard work practices within the team.
  • Promote a culture of open communication and cooperation across all organizational levels.
  • Champion a safety-first environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Effective decision-making abilities to make timely and well-informed judgments.
  • Experience with ERP software.
  • Excellent emotional and time management skills.
  • Analytical capabilities to evaluate data for process optimization.
  • Familiarity with operational KPIs and factors driving enhancements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Associate degree or minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or documentation.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and standard office equipment.
  • Capacity to endure prolonged periods of data review on a computer screen or paper format.
