Position Purpose:


To support and complement the role of the CEO by assisting with the administration of the firm and providing executive level financial advisory services to clients.

Essential Functions:
Firm Operations, Client Services, Culture & Communication

Firm Operations

Act as a gatekeeper for the CEO by assisting with administrative oversight of the firm.
Lead the execution of strategies developed in collaboration with Client Controllers, Client Accountants and Marketing Manager.

Develop and implement processes and protocols for daily operations which maximize efficiency and resource utilization, minimize friction, monitor expenses, and limit liability.

Oversee the continuous development, implementation and updating of the firm's cybersecurity plan.
Be fully prepared and actively participate in Senior Leadership Meetings and semi-annual Update Meetings.

Maintain extensive communication with Client Controllers and Client Accountants to ensure efficient client service systems are developed, implemented, and maintained.

Maintain productive working relationships with all team members and vendors.
Consistently evaluate relationships between team members and all clients and vendors.
Lead weekly team meetings – guide, support, encourage, and hold team members accountable.
Develop and present team training presentations.

Lead development of firm goals, and team member goals that support firm goals, in collaboration with the CEO, Client Controllers, and Client Accountants.

Hold quarterly 3-1-1 meetings and annual performance reviews with Client Controllers, Client Accountants, and administrative staff.
Participate in the development and updating of job descriptions for the firm.
Participate in screening, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and training of new firm team members.
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Client Services

Identify additional services that the firm provides which could be of value to existing clients.
Prepare and present proposals and service agreements for additional services to existing clients.
Close the sale of firm services to existing clients by obtaining signed service agreements and payment for services.
Manage implementation of additional services to existing clients.
Screen prospective clients in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.
Analyze data and documents of qualified prospective clients.
Prepare and present proposals and service agreements to prospective clients.
Close the sale of firm services to prospective clients by obtaining signed service agreements and initial payments.
Manage the onboarding of new clients.
Develop and present client training presentations/webinars.
Ensure firm work for clients is completed accurately and on time.
Review month-end close reconciliations and reports with Client Controllers before reports are distributed to clients.
Work with Client Controllers and clients to monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
Present financial reports to clients, including presentations to non-profit Executive Committees, Finance Committees, and Boards of Directors.
Maintain productive relationships with all clients.
Assist clients with grant and loan applications.
Assist clients with preparation of projections, forecasts, and budgets.

Assist clients with development and implementation of their finance department systems and processes, including ongoing development and improvement of financial policies/internal controls.

Manage the offboarding of clients that leave the firm.
Maintain confidentiality regarding client operations and finances.
Provide productivity analyses as needed for the CEO.
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Culture & Communication

Develop a trust based organizational culture and promote transparency, collaboration, and healthy communication throughout the firm.
Address interpersonal conflicts as necessary.
Develop the ability of the Client Controllers to address interpersonal conflicts.

Other Information

This is primarily an in-office position in Tuscaloosa, AL. However, the firm does support remote work when necessary.

Required:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting and at least 5 years of accounting

leadership

experience.
CPA certificate preferred but not required.
