Who We're Looking For:
A motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts well to change. You should possess excellent organizational skills and a strong commitment to customer service and safety.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent degree in a Science-related field.

Experience: 2 to 5 years in the industry, with a focus on asbestos, lead, indoor air quality, and mold/moisture inspections.

Skills: Excellent communication, client management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.

Certifications:

  • Asbestos: NYC DEP Asbestos Investigator license or ability to obtain
  • Lead: Inspector/Assessor or Sampling Technician preferred.
  • Additional certifications like CHMM, 40 Hour HAZWOPER, 10/30 Hour Construction Safety, and CIE/CMI are desirable but not required.

Other Requirements: Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, availability for client emergencies during normal business and off-peak hours as necessary, and respond as a member of the Hillmann 24-hour disaster response team and on call schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain certifications and licenses.
  • Respond to client emergencies as needed.
  • Conduct thorough investigations related to Industrial Hygiene, including indoor air quality, mold/moisture inspections, asbestos surveys, and leadbased paint inspections.
  • Develop remediation plans, report findings, and ensure compliance with industry guidelines.
  • Collect air samples during asbestos abatement work to verify compliance with local, state and Federal regulations including background, daily and clearance air monitoring; accurately completing project records, log books and chain of custody forms; and timely submission of samples and required project documentation.
  • Perform air and bulk sampling according to EPA, OSHA, NIOSH, and industry analytical methods.
  • Perform limited asbestos containing material surveys.
  • Perform employee exposure monitoring for various environmental hazards.
  • Perform other responsibilities as dictated.
