Summary:


The Plant Labor position is responsible for performing a variety of plant duties safely and efficiently while
maintaining a strong commitment to safety. This role requires adherence to company standards, policies, and
procedures, as well as compliance with federal and state regulations, including MSHA, OSHA, and TCEQ.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



• Support a culture that promotes safety as a top priority while ensuring compliance with all federal,
state and company regulatory policies and procedures.

• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections safely.

• Complete daily equipment reports and plant inspections.

• Report any equipment malfunctions or needed repairs to the Plant Manager.

• Operate assigned mobile equipment, such as haul trucks, motor graders, water trucks, and loaders.

• Maintain excellent housekeeping practices for the plant and equipment.

• Assist maintenance personnel with plant repairs and perform preventative maintenance as needed.

• Assist with the upkeep and greasing of all bearings in the plant.

• Wash down equipment, vehicles, and plant structures as needed.

• Maintain effective communication with the Plant Manager and other personnel on the job site as
required.

• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• Prior experience in safe operation of heavy mobile equipment or in the aggregates industry preferred.

• General maintenance abilities are required.

• Proficient knowledge of MSHA/OSHA safety requirements.

• Exhibit a positive, upbeat attitude and work collaboratively as a team player.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as needed.

that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and sit for extended
periods of time. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and
climbing at times. The employee must consistently lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or
move items up to 60 pounds. Must be able to frequently climb stairs and ladders. Ability to use vibration tools.
May occasionally deal with heights. Must be able to safely maintain 3 points of contact when applicable.
