JOB DESCRIPTION
BHE GT&S is currently offering an opportunity within its team for an Associate LNG Technician (Electrical)/LNG Technician (Electrical)/Sr LNG Technician (Electrical) based at the Cove Point Facility in Lusby, MD.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The strong Associate LNG Technician (Electrical)/LNG Technician (Electrical)/Sr LNG Technician (Electrical) role entails direct reporting to the Electrical & Controls Supervisor and involvement in a diverse workforce responsible for the Safe Operation and Maintenance of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in corrective and preventive maintenance inspections.
- Conducting testing of various electrical systems.
- Interpreting drawings and maintenance documentation.
- Participating in on-site/off-site training sessions.
- Maintaining a commitment to safety practices.
The Senior LNG Technician (Electrical) role involves handling complex systems, troubleshooting, and modification of electrical systems, as well as:
- Performing corrective and preventive maintenance inspections.
- Recording operating data.
- Leading projects for system upgrades.
- Providing training and guidance to team members.
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate LNG Technician (Electrical)
0-3 years' experience in an industrial setting in process/product chemical engineering or operations.
- Assisting in maintenance activities.
- Monitoring LNG ship operations.
- Participating in training sessions.
- Promoting safety practices.
Sr LNG Technician (Electrical)
Five (5) years' experience in an industrial setting in process/product chemical engineering or operations.
- Demonstrating technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
- Training and guiding team members.
- Maintaining equipment and documentation.
Experience in LNG operations is preferred. Education requirements include an Associate's degree and preferred degrees in Electrical or related fields.
