Position Title: Child Care Custodian

Reports To: Supervisor, Manager

Supervises: N/A

Summary of Position

Cleans and maintains all Team Member Child Care areas (kitchen, restrooms, offices, classrooms, etc.)

  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and are subject to change at management's discretion:
  • Removes trash from bathrooms, classrooms and office areas;
  • Cleans and sweeps floors, mops and vacuums floors;
  • Wipes mirrors, windows and glass doors;
  • Keeps supply closets organized, clean and stocked;
  • Cleans and sanitizes all TMCC restrooms;
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary station;
  • Operates kitchen equipment;
  • Inspects freshness, expiration dates and temperatures;
  • Uses proper cooking technique of First In/First Out;
  • Reports any food/beverage not of usable quality to supervisor before discarding;
  • Keeping the outside of the building trash free and safe for children on the playground;
  • Must be willing to help where needed;
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs or more;
  • Must be able to follow directions put forth by Managers or Supervisors;
  • Performs other duties as assigned;

  1. Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; Six months to one-year job-related experience and/or training; Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear. Must be able to use hand held communications devices. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The team member must be able to stand for several hours.
