Who We Are Seeking:

We are in search of a dedicated ELA Special Education Teacher to join our team at Anchor Academy. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young students, this position might be perfect for you.

Anchor Academy is a therapeutic day school that caters to students aged 10-22 with diverse challenges such as trauma histories, mental health issues, and behavioral difficulties. Our focus is on providing a supportive environment that meets the educational, clinical, pre-vocational, recreational, and behavioral needs of our students.

At Anchor Academy, we employ unique treatment frameworks like ARC (Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency) and BCC (Building Communities of Care) to help students develop emotional regulation skills, leverage personal strengths, and foster healthy relationships. Our certified special education teachers deliver a curriculum aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework.

Your Role:

As an ELA Special Education Teacher at Anchor Academy, you will need to be highly organized and professional. We are looking for someone with experience in teaching middle and high school students, particularly in ELA. The ideal candidate would demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in teaching ELA.

You will be responsible for creating a challenging learning environment while working with students in a clinically appropriate manner. Experience in an alternative school setting is valued, as we emphasize interdisciplinary collaboration across our educational, clinical, nursing, and vocational departments.
