As a Certified Medication Aide,theprimary responsibilityis toassistwith the administration of medications,maintainmedication inventory, and ensure the safe storage of pharmaceutical items.
Key Responsibilities
Administer prescribed medications andadhereto safety principles and infection control techniques.
Document medication administration andmaintaina clean and orderly medication cart.
Participate in data collection and performance improvement activities related to medication administration.
Report adverse patient reactions and adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
Reorder and replace medications andsuppliesas needed to perform job responsibilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience
1 yearrelated experience in a medical environment preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
Must have current CPRCertification, andbe certified as a Medication Aide in the state within whichservices are provided.
