Job Summary: The FP&A Manager role will mainly be responsible for month end analysis and reporting, forecast and budget process, updates, modeling and analysis, pricing / profitability of current and potential customers and cash flow reporting, reconciliation, and analysis. This will include interaction with various departments and department heads.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly financial analysis schedules of actual vs. budget variances.
  • Prepare detailed annual financial budget and monthly financial forecasts.
  • Provide financial analysis support to various areas of the company.
  • Create reports, presentations and other communicative devices to convey data and recommendations.
  • Reconcile data, research root causes for discrepancies and assist in updating processes.
  • Direct forecasting and goal-setting efforts for financial plans.
  • Create and present financial plans and overviews.
  • Review forecasts from other departments and create bridge plans.
  • Supervise and communicate ad-hoc analyses for special projects and executive requests.
  • Own, execute and improve month-end close preliminary and final review, including completion of reporting, variance analysis (forecast, budget and prior year) and initiative / operational performance.
  • Develop, execute and improve monthly forecast process with focus on metrics / initiatives to support analytical review of the results (including liquidity). Complete bridge analysis of forecast changes to explain key variances.
  • Lead and execute annual budget process, including working with Sales, Operations, Pallet Production, and overhead teams to drive the development of the budget. Own budget support model, as well as analysis of financial initiatives and metrics to drive improved financial results / driving to exceeding financial targets.
  • Complete and distribute Daily reporting (issue volume, cash reconciliation, etc.), including explanations of key variances / changes.
  • Own and execute pallet pricing model for current and potential customers / managing pricing process (including coordination with various departments to support assumptions / metrics included in the model). Lead review meeting with sales not only go over assumptions and output but ranges of outcomes as well if assumptions vary from actuals.
  • Lead review and analysis of manufacturer, retail, iDepot and operational scorecards, identifying and communicating key variances / changes while tracking action items and initiatives.
  • Monthly operational reconciliation, reporting, analysis and review.
  • Monthly financial modeling and profitability analysis to support sales, operations and ownership group.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Job Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in accounting / finance and 3 - 5 years of related FP&A experience
    • Experienced in financial modeling, revenue/profitability/pricing analysis, financial report, and initiatives measurement / reporting.
    • Strong excel and related analysis skills a must, other database skills (access, SQL, power pivot) a plus, AX/Atlas skills a plus, VBA a plus.
    • Ability to work with large volumes of data with ability to manage detail and big picture (identifying what the data is saying).
    • Excellent people skills that engender cooperation and respect from leadership & team members.

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in an office setting, sitting in front of a computer approximately 75% of the time. Must be able to lift to 20 lbs, push and pull up to 30 lbs, have proper hearing, vision, and speech capabilities.
