Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to support our transit bus operation.

The Assistant General Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.


Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership: Assist in the management of all aspects of transit bus operations, including scheduling, dispatching, fleet maintenance, and driver supervision.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing transit operations, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Corporate Team to develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency, improve service quality, and meet performance metrics.

Staff Development: Provide leadership and mentorship to supervisors, dispatchers, mechanics, and drivers, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and professionalism.

Customer Service Excellence: Champion a customer-centric approach, focusing on enhancing the passenger experience, resolving complaints, and implementing service improvements.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of passengers, employees, and the public.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in transit operations management, including supervisory experience.
  • Indepth knowledge of transit industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills.
  • Proficiency in transit scheduling software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement.
  • Clean driving record.

$55,000.00 per year
