About The Job

As a Research Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory experiments and assisting in various research projects.

This entry-level position involves conducting laboratory experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and contributing to assay development.
How You'll Make An Impact

Conduct Laboratory Experiments:
Execute and support laboratory experiments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
Assist in Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, organize, and analyze experimental data, contributing to meaningful research outcomes.

Support Assay Development:
Aid in the development and optimization of assays, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of laboratory procedures.

Utilize Advanced Equipment:
Operate advanced laboratory equipment, such as thermocyclers, to support experimental procedures.

Data Presentation:
Create and present clear, organized presentations of experimental data to share findings with the research team.

Collaborate on Experiment Planning:
Work with senior team members to design and plan future experiments, contributing innovative ideas and insights.

Troubleshoot Experimental Issues:
Identify and resolve problems that arise during experiments, ensuring minimal disruption to research activities.

Follow Established Protocols:
Adhere to standard protocols and procedures, maintaining consistency and reliability in experimental work.

Maintain Proper Documentation:
Keep accurate and detailed records of experiments and data, supporting reproducibility and compliance with good laboratory practices.

Update Documentation:
Update and submit Document Change Orders (DCOs) as needed, ensuring that all documentation is current and accurate.

Exchange Information:
Communicate effectively, sharing standard and basic information with the team to support research progress.

Maintain a Clean Workspace:
Keep work areas clean and organized, contributing to a safe and efficient laboratory environment.

Participate in Decontamination Efforts:
Assist in laboratory decontamination efforts to ensure a safe working environment.

Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to support the team as needed.
On Your First Day We'd Like You To Have
A Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field.
Basic knowledge of molecular biology techniques.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills.
It's Great If You Have
Previous laboratory experience, though it's not required.
A solid foundation in molecular biology techniques.

Salary Range:
$63,000 to $70,000 (salary range for candidates based in San Jose, CA)
Compensation for the role is based on geographical location.

Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly.

Compensation also depends on a number of factors including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
