Responsibilities:
  • Conducting experiments and analyzing data for ongoing research projects.
  • Contributing to the design and execution of research protocols.
  • Collaborating with peers and scientists both within and outside the lab.
  • Presenting research outcomes at conferences and publishing in scientific journals.
  • Assisting in mentoring and training junior lab members.

The Lulu Jiang Lab aims to deepen our insight into the complex functions of the brain. With a focus on understanding neurodegenerative illnesses like Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD), we strive towards enhancing our comprehension of these conditions. By utilizing cutting-edge technologies in disease modeling, we recreate and study pathological processes under controlled settings, shedding light on the intricate molecular mechanisms driving disease progression.

Our Current Research Focus:
  • Investigating RNA modifications and epitranscriptomic mechanisms in the pathogenesis of AD and related dementias.
  • Exploring neuron-glia interactions and neuroimmunological mechanisms in AD and PD.
  • Using iPSC-induced 3D human brain organoid models for studying neurodegenerative diseases.
  • Understanding the molecular mechanisms of prion-like propagation in AD.
  • Developing genetic and small molecule therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases.

Emphasizing innovation and scientific excellence, we work towards significantly contributing to the field of neurodegenerative disease research.


Qualifications and Experience:
  • Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience, Biology, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Solid background in neuroscience research techniques and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software such as MATLAB, Python, or R.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is designed for individuals who have obtained a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in the past five years. It is a training role that prepares individuals for a career in academia or research, under the guidance of a senior scholar.
