PCU Registered Nurse

*MI LICENSE IN HAND*
Must have a teamwork approach and meet ProMedica behavioral expectations. Must be able to adhere to Call off policy -STRONGLY ENFORCED ***Mixed unit PCU, Med Surg/Tele and Med Surg***

Weekend REQ: Every third (Weekends Required - weekends are considered Saturday and Sunday for both Night and Day shifts)
Certs REQ: ACLS, BCLS, NIH

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes - Will float to other areas as needed and will be given and assignment appropriate to experience and scope of practice including ICU, ER and Behavioral Health.

Special Requirements: -Patient Age group
• Adults, Geriatrics -Shift Details
• 12 hours -Schedule Requirements
• Float Required: Will float to other areas as needed and will be given and assignment appropriate to experience and scope of practice including ICU, ER and Behavioral Health.

• Patient Diagnoses : CHF, Respiratory, Surgeries, Infections - Medication System
• Pyxis -Special Procedures/Unit Details
• Float position will be expected to float to 4 different units including med-surge, intermediate care and ICU (will function within an intermediate care scope while in ICU) In ICU will take intermediate care holds or team up with an ICU nurse, Pilot Team Nursing Model (POD), (RN, LPN for 6 patients) - Special Equipment
• **every 3rd weekend, holidays if needed and potential pod nursing (for 7 pts 1RN, 1LPN and 1NA (takes an additional 4pts)) or (for 6pts 1RN and 1LPN) - Work Settings
• Telemetry - Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Use of Rapid Response Teams - Cardiovascular
• Post MI - Endocrine/Metabolic
• IV insulin protocols - IV Therapy/Phlebotomy
• Central line care/management
• Peripheral Line Care/Management
• PICC line management - Medications
• Manage Cardiac drips- no titration
• Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration - Neurological/Psychiatric
• CVA - Respiratory/Thoracic
• External CPAP/BIPAP
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• Nasal Cannula
• Non-invasive airway management - Computerized Charting
• EPIC -Special Requirements
• As for nurse to pt ratios they vary on the unit and in addition to that we are piloting a new nursing model med surge units 1-5, intermediate 1-4, icu 1-2, nursing model unit 1-8 (with an lpn and NA-so team nursing). Must have a teamwork approach and meet ProMedica behavioral expectations. Must be able to adhere to Call off policy -STRONGLY ENFORCED
