The Thrive Therapies Group, founded by teachers and clinicians, focuses on serving students with disabilities in schools. They partner with mission-aligned education organizations to provide highly trained special education teachers and clinicians, offering professional training programs and mentorship opportunities facilitated by experts from top-ranked institutions.
Accepted teachers will participate in a research-driven program including a 5-day July training and quarterly sessions, selecting teaching placements among partner schools and organizations. Teachers with at least 2 years of experience as a case manager for students with disabilities, a demonstrated record of supporting IEP goals, and experience in various instruction settings are preferred. Successful candidates will have a track record of partnership with families, caregivers, and other education professionals, showcasing strategies for effective collaboration.
Requirements:
- Current, active teacher license in TX, with special education endorsement or certification
- Resident of Houston or able to commute to a school in Houston
- 2+ years of experience as a case manager for students with disabilities
- Demonstrated success in supporting students to meet IEP goals
- Experience in individual, small, and large group instruction
- Results-driven approach to student progress and celebration
- Strong partnership skills with families, caregivers, and education professionals
- Effective collaboration strategies with various stakeholders in education
