Job Summary

Responsible for performing daily housekeeping and laundry services to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in independent and healthcare living facilities using approved chemicals, germicides, and equipment. The role involves following prescribed schedules and procedures of the Environmental Services Department.

Essential Functions

• Provides general housekeeping duties such as mopping, dusting, cleaning countertops, vacuuming, etc., as well as laundry services including washing, drying, folding, and delivering linens on a daily basis.
• Ensures all resident units are cleaned as scheduled, and responds to emergency codes within the facility and residential areas.
• Identifies maintenance needs, safety concerns, and hazardous situations, using chemicals and supplies appropriately.
• Reports hazards to a Supervisor and places Wet Floor Signs in a visible manner for residents, visitors, and employees.
• Adheres to State Regulations, OSHA guidelines, and safety protocols.
• Operates commercial washers, dryers, and iron press machines.
