Our company is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team.
The Metal Fabricator will be responsible for using various fabrication techniques to produce high-quality metal parts according to customer specifications.
The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and be committed to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities:
Fabricate metal parts according to customer specifications, using techniques such as cutting, bending, welding, and machining.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine fabrication requirements.
Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including saws, shears, press brakes, welding equipment, and machining centers.
Inspect parts for quality and accuracy, and make adjustments to fabrication processes as necessary.
Ensure that all parts are properly identified and tracked throughout the fabrication process.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including regular maintenance of fabrication equipment and work area.
Communicate with production and quality teams to ensure that all parts meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including identifying areas for process improvement and recommending solutions.
Assist with other manufacturing tasks as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in metal fabrication.
Familiarity with fabrication equipment, including saws, shears, press brakes, welding equipment, and machining centers.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
