Orlando VA Healthcare System's Specialty Care Service is looking for an experienced and dynamic Cardiologist. Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Basic Requirements:
- Completion of a doctor of medicine degree from an approved institution
- Possession of a current, full, and unrestricted medical license
Residency Training:
Completion of an accredited Cardiology residency program leading to eligibility for board certification
NOTE: VA physicians involved in academic programs may need to be board certified for faculty status.
Preferred Experience:
Reference: VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-2 Physician Qualification Standard.
Physical Requirements:
Must fulfill pre-employment physical examination requirements as per VA Handbook 5019
Duties
This is an ongoing recruitment process.
The Orlando VA, established in 2006, serves over 135,000 Veterans in Central Florida. The facility offers comprehensive benefits including a competitive salary and a generous paid time off package.

Work Schedule:

Incumbents may work varied shifts based on facility needs. No employment contract or moonlighting restrictions. Responsibilities include managing a Cardiology program, diagnosing and treating patients, providing outpatient services, and mentoring trainees.
