JOB PURPOSE AND MISSION: The main goal of this role is to enhance the well-being of patients and their families by managing patient care processes through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in cooperation with the patient, family, physician, and appropriate support services.

Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinates patient assessment through comprehensive data collection.
- Analyzes patient assessments for nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes.
- Coordinates an interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Implements interventions identified in the plan of care.
- Evaluates patient progress towards outcomes.
- Performs triage assessments and focused assessments for all age groups.
- Administers and monitors Procedural Sedation.
- Performs assigned duties as required.
Experience Requirements: Preferably 1 year of nursing experience.
Educational Requirements:
- Pediatric Course ACT 548
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within one year
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) preferred
- Crisis Prevention Training within six months
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support training (PALS) within one year
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program preferred
- Emergency Nurses Pediatric Core Course (ENPC) preferred
Special Skills, Licenses, and Knowledge Requirements:
- Current Louisiana RN licensure
- CEN Certification encouraged/preferred
- Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA regulations
Safety Requirements:
- Adherence to safety practices including incident reporting, handling of wastes, PPE, hand washing, and more.
