Job Summary

  • As an Occupational Therapist specialized in Pediatrics, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing comprehensive Occupational Therapy services for patients ranging from infants to the elderly, with various disabilities, disorders, and injuries, aiming to enhance and restore their highest functional abilities.
  • Your primary focus will be on pediatric cases from birth to 21 years old, with occasional coverage for hospital patients across other age groups as needed during weekends and holidays.
  • You must demonstrate a profound understanding of growth and development principles and have the capacity to address specific issues and data that reflect the status of each patient or customer.
  • Your expertise should align with the care requirements of the department's served population.

Education and/or Experience

  • A Master's Degree is a mandatory qualification.
  • Preferably, a Doctorate Degree.
  • Completion of an Occupational Therapy program approved by the AOTA accrediting body is required.
  • At least 0-6 months of relevant experience is mandatory.
  • 1-2 years of experience is desirable.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS

  • Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy by the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a must.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday; 80 hours per 2 weeks.
  • Shift timings: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Occasional weekend and holiday coverage may be required.

Pay

The hourly pay rate for this position is as follows:

  • $48.00 per hour
