Our fast-paced Radiology Department is looking for a top skilled MRI Technologist. Is that you?

Work location:
Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano Texas 75093; With availability to float to Texas Health Prosper and Plano Pediatric Imaging Center

Work hours:
Part Time, 24 Hours; Thursday & Friday, 10:30am – 11:00pm

Since 1991, Texas Health Plano has served the communities of Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson, and McKinney. We're a 386-bed, full-service hospital serving North Texas with incredible care and amazing people.

We specialize in emergency medicine and trauma, cardiology, neurosurgery and spine, advanced orthopedics, women's services, adult and adolescent behavioral health, an adult intensive care unit and state of the art and technologically advanced surgical services.

Plus, we're a Level II Trauma Facility, the only health care facility in Collin County to have achieved both the Level IV NICU and Level IV Maternal facility designation and have a DNV-certified Comprehensive Stroke Program.


Texas Health Plano is a four-time Magnet-designated hospital, the only AACN Beacon Gold adult intensive care unit in the DFW area, accredited by the Joint Commission in Hip and Knee Replacement and a Primary Heart Attack Center.

Here's What You Need

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required or
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Other – CLIAFE, Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
  • One-year medical imaging experience required and
  • One years of MRI experience preferred
  • Two years of MRI experience highly preferred
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MR) upon hire required or

ARMRIT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists upon hire required or

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) upon hire required or

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) upon hire required or

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (N) upon hire required or

NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board CNMT upon hire required and

CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT(R), (CT), (N) or CNMT upon hire required and

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (MR) if ARRT(R), (CT), (N) or CNMT within 12 months required or

ARMRIT - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists if ARRT(R), (CT), (N) or CNMT within 12 months required

What You Will Do

Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam

Positions patient to correct anatomical area of interest

Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations

Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related factors

Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique

Maintains attention to details

Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed 8. Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS

Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS

Prints laser images from modality or PACS

Coordinates with Centralized Scheduling and other modalities
