POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a temporary position for approximately three months. The primary purpose of your job is to manage the operation of the food service department to include staffing, food ordering, meal preparation, food delivery, food safety and kitchen sanitation in accordance with community policies, physician orders, resident care plans and within the current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the community. Assure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and supervise food service staff. Follow all health, sanitary, infection control policies, and food service department polies and procedures.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Must possess a High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Must be: A certified food service manager; or Have similar national certification for food service management and safety from a national certifying body; or Have an associate's or higher degree in food service management or in hospitality, if the course study includes food service or restaurant management, from an accredited institution of higher learning; and In States that have established standards for food service managers or food service managers, meets State requirements for food service managersor food service managers.
  • Must possess a ServSafe Certification.
  • Must be able to communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be organized, self-directed, and a team builder.
  • Must be able to manage the facility budget (food cost, supplies, and labor.)
  • Must possess and demonstrate the ability to carry out both verbal and written directions.
  • Must possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers, direct reports and community staff in the performance of duties.
  • Ability to perform and assure proper safety and sanitary techniques in all areas of food service services.
  • Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in long term care/skilled facility food service environment with purchasing, food production, tray assembly, etc.

Shift and Wage:

  • Full-Time Opportunity Available
  • Shift: Day/Evening Shift
