Waste Processor

WasteMedX is a waste solutions company for healthcare organizations. We utilize ozone technology to sterilize regulated medical waste and transform it into municipal waste. We are looking for a dedicated individual that has mechanical knowledge and wants the ability to work independently.

The Waste Processor role in Lawrence Kansas is a unique opportunity to gain essential knowledge and experience within our company. This role is responsible for both aspects of our frontline operation (waste processing, and service route driver). Your time will be divided between these roles. As the processor you will operate our innovative technology to process and sterilize regulated medical waste for a local healthcare organization. As the service route driver, you will drive a box truck to different locations throughout the Lawrence Kansas area to pick-up waste and bring it back to a central processing location.

Work Schedule:

Full-Time 40 hours per week, 8 hours per shift.

Monday through Friday, 7:00am-3:00pm CST.

Desired Skills, Abilities:

• Ability to run machinery and have basic mechanical knowledge
• Good time management
• Basic computer skills
• Flexible and open-minded
• Read, write, and communicate in English

Position Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Drug free workplace, must be able to pass a drug test
• Background check required for employment
• Handling regulated medical waste which could include blood or other body fluids
• Confidentiality and handling patient information
