Licensed Prof Counselor

As a Behavioral Health Counselor, you will be responsible for delivering behavioral health services through individual and group counseling, ensuring efficient referral and tracking of these services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Offer screening, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals, families, or groups while ensuring a tailored service plan meets patient needs. This plan includes brief, problem-focused therapy to enhance patient self-management skills.
- Ensure thorough documentation of all encounters, including counseling sessions, and accurate coding and billing. Maintain high productivity levels and excellent clinical outcomes.
- Oversee the behavioral health department's quality control and adherence to accreditation standards. Provide exceptional clinical care and integrate with other care providers.
- Assist Behavioral Health clients through appropriate referrals and consultations, promoting a holistic approach to patient care.
- Track outcome measures for the program and participate in departmental activities to fulfill the Center's mission.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and collaborate with community agencies for patient well-being.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in counseling or a related field.
- Licensed to practice in the State of Texas.
- Experience in brief psychotherapeutic interventions and parenting issues.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of cultural diversity and the ability to work in a team setting.
- Valid Driver's License in Texas and Basic Life Support certification.
- Preferred bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish).
- 2 years of counseling experience.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Finger Dexterity: Control for typing and handling objects.
- Talking: Clearly convey detailed instructions.
- Hearing: Ability to hear conversations and whispers.
- Repetitive Motions: Regular use of wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Visual: Visual acuity for patient evaluation and computer work.
- Physical: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and bending as required.
