Brief Summary of Position:

Responsible for supporting the Production Manager and assisting in the efficient execution of the production schedule by collaborating proactively with the entire production team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Production Manager as necessary in daily operations
  • Act as a valuable resource for production employees regarding production schedules and progress inquiries
  • Aid in the introduction of new products into production
  • Initiate and complete shop orders
  • Accelerate job completion as needed
  • Participate in daily department meetings, outlining production requirements for the day
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and Purchasing to address and resolve identified issues
  • Handle QA, ISO, and Safety Audits to promote enhancements
  • Participate in and lead LEAN events when necessary
  • Partner with Team Leaders to identify resource gaps and additional necessities
  • Adhere to safety and corporate ethical guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations following U.S. laws
  • Other assigned duties

Qualifications

  • Desired 5+ years of relevant experience, though not mandatory
  • Technical knowledge and experience in an aerospace setting preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Proficiency in various PC applications
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills

Working Conditions:

  • Office Environment - sitting as necessary for meetings, emails, etc.
  • Possible exposure to industrial oils, toner, coolants, solvents, lubricants, adhesives, and other chemicals (with safety precautions)
  • Work in both controlled and open-air environments
  • Possibility of working in noisy areas (ear protection provided)
  • Up to 8 hours per day in a manufacturing environment, involving walking and/or standing most of the time
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

Physical Requirements:

  • Intermittent and prolonged sitting and/or standing may be necessary
  • Repetitive tasks expected
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 pounds
