JOB DESCRIPTION – Abrasive Blaster/Powder Coater/Liquid Industrial Painter

Abrasive blasting, Powder coating and Industrial paint facility is seeking an Abrasive Blaster who is interested in long-term career growth and has the strategic ability to plan for their professional future.

Job Rate: $19/hr

Job Summary:

Utilizes abrasive blasting equipment to prepare metal surfaces to receive powder or liquid paint. Applies coating or paint to manufacturer's specified thickness and bakes the finish to harden within an oven or cures parts to specifications.

Operates abrasive blasting equipment for removal of scale, flux, corrosion, dirt and oils from parts

• Uses hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools
• Use of forklifts for moving parts and loading/unloading delivery trucks
• Identifies and reports defective parts.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and a safe work area.
• Maintains a commitment to teamwork and a positive, supportive attitude to all personnel.
• Observes and complies with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications:

• 1-3 years' experience in abrasive blasting, paint and/or powder coat application and processes
• Knowledge and experience of powder coating and their applications
• Minimum 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge is required
• Ability and desire to want to grow and be a team player within our organization
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturer's application specifications with little to no assistance.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Lifting: 0-20 lbs. unassisted, lbs. assisted
• Ability to legally work within the United States
• Valid driver's license
• Education Required - High School graduate or GED equivalent
