Summary

Our client, a Japanese meat exporting company, is experiencing rapid growth. They are currently seeking a Japanese bilingual Inside Sales / Account Manager to join their team. If you have experience in export/import, trading, or the food wholesale industry, they welcome your application

Duties/Responsibilities:


• Develops and maintains relationships with existing clients.


• Inputs, updates, and maintains order and invoice data within the company system.


• Provide commercial invoices to clients.


• Prepares documents and forms to move goods efficiently through import and export steps and procedures.


• Reviews paperwork and documents to ensure shipping, handling, storage charges, and customs fees are billed correctly.


• Schedules shipments to ensure delivery by promised deadlines.


• Answers clients' questions about products, deliveries, and payments.


• Resolves delivery problems and works on clients' needs.


• Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, delivery, and the industry at large.


• Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.


• Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.


• Collaborates with suppliers to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.


• Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.


• Collects data, interprets trends, and provides reports.


• Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:


• Proficient in speaking, writing, and reading English AND Japanese.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.


• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.


• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.


• Excellent sales and negotiation skill


• Knowledge of shipping regulations and policies (preferred)

Education and Experience:


• Prior experience preparing customs and shipping documents preferred.


• Sales experience in the Trading, Wholesale, or Food industry. (preferred)

Physical Requirements:


• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.


• Travel to meet with clients or suppliers will be required on occasion.
