Position Title: Registered Nurse - Observation Unit

Join our Observation Unit where efficiency, collaboration, and patient-centered care are the priorities. Over half of our patients are seen directly from the ED, making this a fast-paced unit where healthcare professionals work hand-in-hand to meet patient needs. You'll be working in a unit with up to 60 beds, caring for monitored and unmonitored patients.

We are currently seeking night shift nurses with an 18% night shift differential.

Job Overview:

This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care following organizational standards and professional nursing practices. As a Registered Nurse in our Observation Unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients while ensuring the team maintains excellence in service delivery. Your expertise and skills will be vital in evaluating patient needs, developing personalized care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing patient's holistic needs promptly and ensuring proper documentation
  • Developing comprehensive care plans in consultation with patients, families, and healthcare team
  • Providing direct patient care, supervising healthcare team activities, and promoting continuity of care
  • Evaluating patient response to treatment, adjusting care plans accordingly, and documenting all interventions effectively
  • Following evidence-based practices and contributing to research initiatives within the facility
  • Engaging in shared leadership, supporting staff development, and contributing to educational activities
