Contract Manager

Position Summary:

Responsible for managing the operations of a program supply store, which involves overseeing purchasing from approved sources, negotiating costs, setting retail prices, and handling profit and loss statements. Additionally, responsible for retail merchandising, collaborating with the EAFB contracting office on MOUs and large purchase orders, and coordinating with squadron resource card holders on squadron purchases. Actively engaged in fostering base-wide relationships and promoting the program as the primary source of supply for government purchasing.

Furthermore, tasked with managing a diverse workforce that includes individuals with disabilities and ensuring compliance with the participant criteria of the ability one program.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least three years of related experience highly preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Stores procedures and policies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to keep accurate records.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and software used to maintain inventory.
  • Ability to pass drug test.
  • Ability to pass criminal background test.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to traverse warehouse to observe physical inventory

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Oversees receipt and verification of incoming shipments; ensures materials are unloaded, stored, and verified according to policy.
  2. Ensures that an accurate inventory record of finished goods is maintained in accordance with established procedures.
  3. Ensures orderly storage of incoming shipments and finished goods; maintains detailed records of available products and their storage locations.
  4. Conducts regular inventory checks, random checks on at least a weekly basis, and thorough checks on at least a monthly basis.
  5. Communicates results of inventory reviews to Director of Federal Contracts.
  6. Delegates fulfillment of customer orders to staff; maintains inventory database when orders are fulfilled.
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
