Instructor/tutor for Multiple Subjects and Ages

We are hiring Independent Contractors (without a non-compete).

You will be told the preferred location, days, and times as well as the hourly pay before you choose to work with an offered student.


Tutors must:
- be
in-person in Houston and/or surrounding suburbs
- have at least
1 year of teaching/tutoring experience:

  • have a
    college degree or be
    enrolled in college:

Subjects needed (in order of increased hourly pay):

  • Elementary school: academics, enrichment
  • Middle school: academics, enrichment, high school entrance test prep (ISEE/HSPT/SEHS/STARR)
  • College: academics, enrichment, career coaching
All sessions must include lessons in (free training will be offered):

  • Executive Functions (time-management, entrepreneurial mindset, planning, prioritizing, organization, independence)
  • Metacognition (selfassessment, selfmonitoring, mindfulness, focus, reflection)
  • Soft Skills (critical thinking, creative problem solving, inquiry, innovation, initiative, confidence, advocacy, collaboration, leadership)

Additional details:

  • Pay:
$22.50+/hr (Pay depends on grade level, location, and number of students; average is $40/hr)

  • Hours: Tutor's choice (most students want to meet evenings and/or weekends)
  • Locations: Inperson at students' homes/schools in/near Chicago, DFW, Houston, or Austin.
