Vitalant is currently seeking a
Phlebotomy Team Lead to help our dedicated team provide blood to local hospitals and patients.


As a Phlebotomy Team Lead, you support our life saving mission as you perform and supervise all duties related to the efficient, safe, and compliant collection of blood and blood products.

You will serve as the operational supervisor managing donor flow and staff assignments.

You get to work collaboratively with the donor care team, in alignment with Vitalant's values, as you oversee and perform donor interviews and whole blood phlebotomy.

Every day you'll be having fun making a measurable difference in your community.

We're looking for someone who can:

  • Assist staff as needed with interviewing and phlebotomy of donors
  • Assign daily assignments, breaks and lunches to optimize donor flow
  • Coordinate set up, restocking of supplies and cleanliness of equipment
  • Support Donor Care Technicians with donor questions and eligibility concerns
  • Assist the Managers with Donor Care Technician direction, reviews, and improvement plans
  • Report on production goals to management team
  • Ensures all equipment, vehicles, and facilities are acceptable to regulations and standards
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Successful completion of supervisory training program within six months
  • Two years phlebotomy experience preferred
