Starr Sign Design is looking for a full-time, in-house Graphic Designer to join our close-knit team.

In this position, you will design a variety of projects including external signage, window vinyl, print decals and magnets, apparel, business cards, and more.

You will follow all projects from proof to fabrication, utilizing large format printer, plotter and laser cutter. Willing to train the right person with a great attitude who is eager to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Study client requests and determine requirements
  • Prepare proofs, conceptualize visuals based on requirements
  • Schedule projects for install team
  • Develop text layouts, logos and other designs using Adobe Illustrator
  • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
  • Generate estimates and invoices using QuickBooks
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are the proper dimensions with no typos

Required Skills:

  • Previous graphic designing experience
  • Portfolio demonstrating basic typography skills
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
  • Detailoriented, takes notes when necessary
  • Excellent communication skills, good attitude towards clients and fellow team members
  • Ability to work methodically and independently to meet deadlines
  • Eager and willing to learn to use large format printer, plotter and laser cutter

Additional Skills (Not Required):

  • Degree in Design, Illustration or related field is a plus
  • Previous usage of large format printer, plotter, laser cutter, or Cricut/Silhouette machine
  • Previous usage of FlexiSign
  • Some knowledge of Spanish would be useful but by no means required
