Fidelity Institutional (FI) is seeking a talented principal full stack engineer to join their Integrated Portfolio Construction team. In this role, you will work on implementing cutting-edge solutions for financial advisors using the latest technology in a dynamic and collaborative setting. Your primary focus will be on developing analytical tools essential for the portfolio construction process. These tools will be utilized by members of the Fidelity Institutional Wealth Adviser (FIWA) Investment team and partners across FI when engaging with external clients. Skills and Expertise Required:
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional software development experience.
  • Proven experience in leading design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, scaling, and technical feasibility assessments.
  • Established track record in defining technical architectures and implementing best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in leading initiatives across multiple teams.
  • Experience in mentoring technical associates.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Angular framework.
  • Proficiency in Java Spring Boot and Spring Cloud framework.
  • Strong background in databases and SQL.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of AWS services.
  • Experience in building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins.
  • Proficient in using source control and pull requests for collaborative development in code repository tools like GitHub.
