Bartender Position at Tao Group Hospitality

Position Summary:
Prepares alcoholic beverages for guests and venue servers, takes orders, and ensures a great bar/dining experience. Interacts with guests, employees, and supervisors courteously.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain professional appearance standards as per Tao Group Hospitality guidelines.
  • Anticipate and meet guest needs.
  • Provide exceptional service.
  • Explain menus, suggest food and beverage items.
  • Inform guests about specials.
  • Address guest allergies and dietary restrictions.
  • Enter orders accurately in the POS system.
  • Deliver food and drinks to guests at the bar and lounge.
  • Keep the bar and venue clean and organized.
  • Follow supervisor's instructions and support co-workers.
  • Possess detailed knowledge of menus.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages following state regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Complete end-of-shift financial procedures accurately.
  • Communicate guest needs to support staff and managers.
  • Set up bar stations and perform opening/closing procedures.
  • Report equipment or furniture damage promptly.
  • Attend pre-service meetings and training sessions.
  • Learn from team members and lead by example.
  • Show a positive and professional attitude.
  • Work collaboratively and support team members.

Training Requirements:
  • Tao Group Hospitality in-venue bartender training, Alcohol Awareness Certification, Food Handling Certificate.

Minimum Education and Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of professional beverage experience.
  • Previous bartending experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • May involve repetitive motion tasks.
  • Exposure to hot elements and cleaning materials.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
