Job Description:

  • Provide effective instruction for workforce training programs
  • Maintain a positive learning environment for adult learners
  • Support student success and engagement
  • Collaborate on curriculum development and assessment
  • Conduct review and remediation sessions
  • Assist in student recruitment activities

Courses may be scheduled during the day, evening, or weekends at different locations. This is an on-campus position, not remote.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current RN or LPN license (Virginia or compact multistate)
  • Two years of nursing experience and one year of direct care/supervisory experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to student success
  • Current AHA-BLS CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Nursing
  • Teaching experience in Nurse Aide courses
  • Course in teaching adults
  • Experience in adult education or community college setting
  • Online teaching experience
  • Proficiency in learning management systems like Canvas
  • Meet VBON qualifications as a primary instructor
