Our Outside Sales Representatives are dynamic and influential professionals with a proven track record of driving significant operational improvements. They excel at building strong relationships with both large commercial roofing providers and local roofers serviced by our company.

Serving as the face of our organization, our sales representatives are highly esteemed and are acknowledged by our team as instrumental in initiating and sustaining the company's success.

While enjoying a degree of autonomy, our Outside Sales Reps collaborate closely with the branch's Managing Partner. They prioritize relationship management and play a crucial role in orchestrating a strategic and high-performance sales cycle, ensuring customer satisfaction at every step.

Requirements:

Essential Functions (Outside Sales):

  • Promoting and facilitating the sale and distribution of Elite Roofing Supply's product lines and services, with a primary focus on achieving or surpassing sales targets.
  • Demonstrating expertise in roofing supplies or building product sales, ensuring a deep understanding of the industry and its offerings.
  • Cultivating and nurturing relationships with existing customers, emphasizing the value proposition, and building trust to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Proactively identifying and pursuing new prospects, developing new accounts, and re-engaging with inactive customers using various communication channels such as face-to-face meetings, emails, cold calls, and social media.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales plans and objectives through effective sales strategies and execution.
  • Identifying customer needs, establishing strong rapport, and negotiating mutually beneficial contracts to secure ongoing and future business opportunities.
  • Continuously enhancing product knowledge through participation in product knowledge seminars and training sessions.
  • Maintaining a professional image of Elite Roofing Supply in all interactions and representations.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in promoting and facilitating the sale and distribution of roofing supplies or building products.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales objectives, with a focus on driving revenue growth.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with existing customers, earning their trust and loyalty.
  • Aptitude for prospecting and developing new accounts, as well as re-engaging with inactive customers, utilizing various communication channels effectively.
  • Consistent achievement of sales plans and goals, demonstrating strategic sales planning and execution skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, capable of identifying customer needs and negotiating win-win contracts to foster continued and future business relationships.
  • Willingness to continuously enhance product knowledge through participation in product knowledge seminars and training programs.
  • Ability to project a professional image of Elite Roofing Supply in all interactions and representations, reflecting the company's values and brand identity.

Work Environment:

Outside Sales Representatives often require frequent travel and significant time spent away from a conventional office environment. This may involve meeting prospective clients at job sites, as well as conducting work and making calls either from home or the branch location.

Physical Demands:

Outside Sales Representatives typically spend a significant amount of time traveling to meet clients, whether by car, plane, or other modes of transportation. This may involve sitting for extended periods and being able to endure long drives or flights

While visiting clients or attending events, sales representatives may need to stand or walk for extended periods. This requires good stamina and comfortable footwear.

Carrying presentation materials, product samples, or promotional items may be necessary during client visits or when attending trade shows or conferences. Sales representatives may work long hours, especially during peak seasons or when chasing important deals. They need to maintain energy levels and focus throughout the day.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This role is a full-time position with workdays scheduled from Monday to Friday. Hours may vary depending on business needs.

Travel:

Periodic travel is required.

Required Education and Experience:

Education: High school diploma/GED required.

Experience: Demonstrated experience and proficiency in promoting and facilitating the sale and distribution of roofing supplies or building products.
