The person we are looking for fully understands the health value for seniors who are involved in social and physical activities.

We are looking for someone with endless energy who also is an effective motivator of residents while never running out of new and creative Life Enrichment Activities that make every hour of every day, EXCITING and FUN.

The Activity Director promotes three principles of assisted living:

Choice, dignity and individuality to create an environment of "Optimal Living" for all residents.

Responsibilities/Job Description

  • Develops program and activities reflective of resident interests
  • Assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of residents
  • Coordinates community volunteers
  • Leads daily activities according to schedule
  • Coordinates with marketing events
  • Approach all encounters with residents and employees in a friendly, serviceoriented manner.
  • Assist with planning and implementing events and activities.
  • Promote residents attendance at events and activities.
  • Assist in preparation of activity calendar and input of newsletter.
  • Conduct activity programs as assigned.
  • Assist with decorations for holidays and special occasions.
  • Assist residents with gardening projects.
  • Assist with group activities, singalongs, exercise classes.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal communication
  • 3 years prior experience
  • Must know how to have a lot of fun

Pay:
$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
