Halff has an opening for a Professional Engineer (P.E.) for our Tampa, Tavares or Orlando, FL office. The Transportation Engineer will be responsible for the development of engineering concepts in support of PD&E studies. Transportation Civil Engineer (P.E.) - PD&E Studies Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience providing conceptual roadway and/or trail design in support for Florida PD&E studies
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Florida required
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NEPA, state environmental and Florida PD&E requirements
  • Knowledge of the Environmental and Public Involvement activities required for PD&E Studies
  • Knowledge of AASHTO, FDOT and Green Book design criteria, standards and plans preparation requirements
  • Knowledge in Traffic Demand and Analysis, Highway Horizontal and Vertical Alignment, Structures, Drainage, Maintenance of Traffic, Signing and Pavement Markings, Signalization, Lighting, Utilities, Structures, Intelligent Transportation Systems and Tolling and design or coordination of all engineering disciplines required for the development of engineering alternatives for a project
