Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking anStructures Mechanic to join our EA-18G Growler Capability Modification Team at NAS Whidbey Island, WA.This candidate work with a dynamic team of professionals performing Growler capability modifications.

This candidate will perform structural modifications on a day shift position.

Position Responsibilities:
Performs close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structures and fracture critical areas
Locates blind holes necessary for installation of new structural items to existing structure
Performs efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structure in accordance with standard repair processes
Demonstrates the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair
Utilizes tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of structural parts

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience with aircraft structures and post-production field support
2+ years' experience with aircraft maintenance or modifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Experience with F/A-18 and/or EA-18G platform
FAA Airframe and Powerplant License preferred.
Experience with composite repair and paint

TYPICAL EDUCATION/

EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g.

High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g.

vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
