Summary
Performs and coordinates the maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of audio/video (A/V) systems in residential and commercial buildings.
This position also assists and supports other business sectors security alarm systems, video surveillance equipment and electronic premises security systems as needed.
This position requires daily interaction with team members, customers and vendor partners. Performs associated administrative duties related to alarm activation and account documentation.Duties and Responsibilities
- 1. Consults with customers on system issues and repair needs.
- 2. Installs and maintains audio/video equipment.
- 3. Programs and maintains equipment and systems supporting residential and commercial audio/video as well as some home integration.
- 4. Processes customer billing and vendor invoices per departmental policies.
- 5. Maintains records of work performed.
- 6. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- 7. Performs miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid Tennessee Driver's License in good standing for operating a motor vehicle.
- Great attitude and willing to continue to learn.
- One year experience installing, trouble shooting, and servicing audio video equipment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windowsbased operating environment.
- Basic knowledge of computer server operating systems and IP network technologies.
- Ability to write reports containing technical information
- Knowledge of Audio Video components, systems integration and home automation.
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Conditions of Employment
- Possession of a valid Tennessee driver's license is a requirement for this job.
- Must pass a preemployment criminal background check.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of averageweight objects up to 25 pounds or some standing, walking and the ability to climb a ladder.
- Work environment involves mínimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

$ $22.00 per hour
