We are currently seeking a Senior Cocoa Sourcing Manager for our Corporate Office in Madison, WI. This vibrant city, ranked the '#1 Best Place to Live,' sets the stage for an exciting opportunity. The role involves Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm working hours and reports to the Vice President of Sourcing.

Job Summary:

The Senior Cocoa Sourcing Manager will be responsible for overseeing all sourcing activities related to cocoa products, including liquor, butter, powder, and beans. This role involves developing and executing category strategies to enhance competitiveness and efficiency at CQC. The Senior Manager will build and nurture strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and implement risk management strategies to drive CQC's growth. By leveraging market insights, the Manager will identify innovative approaches to procure, receive, and store raw materials, fostering continuous improvements and cost savings across the supply chain.

The role requires collaboration with various departments like R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, and Finance to create strategies that drive value for CQC and enhance its competitive edge. Additionally, the Senior Manager will lead high-level strategy development and implementation for managed categories.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage cocoa category activities through supplier management, negotiations, and contract oversight
  • Develop sophisticated sourcing and risk-management strategies for cocoa products
  • Support sustainability initiatives with key supply partners
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve company objectives
  • Supervise Commodity Buyer and provide guidance to the Sourcing team
  • Travel to cocoa origin countries in support of sustainability efforts
  • Adhere to company values and confidentiality agreements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, preferably in Supply Chain or Finance
  • 5+ years of contract negotiation experience in the cocoa industry
  • Strong project management and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to manage competing priorities
