Exciting Career Opportunity at the Director's Office of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS)

This challenging position involves conducting research, developing strategies, and proposing initiatives for reforming Health and Human Services. The selected candidate will directly report to the Chief Innovation Officer and focus on implementing reform initiatives, analyzing policies, and overseeing projects for regulatory compliance and successful outcomes. Managing multiple projects simultaneously will be a key responsibility.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity with program development and assessment.
  • Understanding of Medicaid, human services, and related programs.
  • Attention to detail while grasping the bigger picture.
  • Effective communication with diverse groups and officials.
  • Proficiency in researching and interpreting healthcare regulations.
  • Minimum qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in health care, human services, business, or public administration.
    • Four years' experience in health insurance, Medicaid, or related fields. Experience should include technical writing for state plan amendments, waivers, and policy documents, as well as interpreting laws and regulations.
    • Other combinations of education and experience will be considered.
    • Preference for experience with Medicaid or CHIP programs.
