Education:
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to read and interpret labels on cleaning products for appropriate use and storage
  • Ability to work independently
  • Well-developed hand/eye coordination
  • Must be able to lift to 80 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for 8+ hours straight
  • Ability to endure working conditions inclusive of hot, cold, odors, dirty, dusty, and noisy
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand, walk, grip, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift, move and carry
  • Ability to use your senses of sight, touch, sound, and smell

Job Overview:

Sanitation - Office will be responsible for maintaining general cleanliness of the Marketing Center, Accounting Department, Executive offices and Distribution offices.

Expectations:
  1. Effectively and efficiently clean the Marketing Center, Accounting Department, Executive offices and Distribution offices.
  2. Maintain security at the Marketing Center by making sure all blinds are up/open and doors are locked.
  3. Assist in setting up/tearing down and cleaning up meeting rooms as requested (check schedule with receptionist).
Job Duties:
  1. Clean office areas, hallways, lobby, elevators, and stairways daily.
  2. Clean breakrooms and kitchen areas daily.
  3. Clean and disinfect bathrooms daily.
  4. Check the fryer in the kitchen at the Marketing Center (lower level) and the coffee pots (breakrooms and kitchens) to make sure they are all turned off.
  5. Wipe down sinks at Marketing Center (lower level kitchen) daily.
  6. Empty wastebaskets and recycling and dispose of properly.
  7. Sweet and mop hard surface floors daily.
  8. Vacuum carpets and mats daily.
  9. Dust office areas weekly.
  10. Wipe and disinfect meeting room tables daily.
  11. Order supplies as needed for restocking through the appropriate Inventory staff.
  12. Wash walls as needed (around switch plates and high traffic areas).
  13. Wash and wipe windows in front entry/lobby areas daily.
  14. Coordinate carpet cleaning with the Support Staff Manager as needed.
  15. Empty cigarette containers located at the front/rear entrances as needed.
  16. Monthly deep cleaning of the Marketing Center kitchen is required. Block out a time with the receptionist to do this. This includes cleaning the fryer, refrigerator, etc.
  17. Wax upstairs conference table as needed.
  18. Communicate with Supervisor of any problems or areas of concern.
  19. Provide security for Martin Bros. property.
  20. Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
  21. Follow all safety rules and requirements of warehouse.
  22. Interact and cooperate with all Martin Bros. personnel respectfully.
  23. Suggest positive changes for the department and Martin Bros.
  24. Read and follow company policy.
